Boost our Economy with Independent Contractors

Across the world, many people are having a hard time to put food on the table, and maintaining a job in order to support a family is not a simple task to perform. As such, many corporations and businesses are aiming to create more jobs by expanding their horizons towards new forms of service.

An effective way of hiring more employees without having to develop new products and services while at the same time cutting costs is to higher independent contractors. Independent contractors are free-lancers who, essentially, work for themselves and perform services for companies.

Such employees save their employers money because their salaries are tax deductible. If companies were to employ many such employees, the savings would add up to a hefty amount. However, the clear downside in such a business relationship is the fact that they do not have to work solely for one company.

Most companies do what we call business process outsourcing, where they bring in a group of independent contractors to perform services for them. For instance an accounting company might hire Pitney Bowes for office services and they will outsource directly from the accounting office.

If Dell computers were to hire an offshore business process outsourcing group for the purpose of responding to customer service calls the expenses would further cheapen, as wages overseas are often much less than in the US.

Companies choose to hire offshore business process outsourcers for this very reason, as the brainpower is equally sufficient and capable in performing the necessary tasks, while at the same time much cheaper. The proof is in the pudding, as very few complaints are placed and American customers are satisfied with the outcome of the services.

The downside to offshore outsourcing, of course, is that such jobs could have been provided to American outsourcers and would help get the economy back in motion. Until both American and offshore outsourcers are hired together, businesses will remain at a standstill. This is necessary because even these businesses who feel that they are saving are, in the long run, losing because people and companies will not be able to afford their services.

Hopefully, with the newly more educated youth emerging within us with advanced knowledge, the country will be able to pick and change its financial troubles. We will see in years to come.
